Di Indonesia, galian jalan adalah suatu hal yang umum. Hampir di setiap kota kita bisa lihat proyek penggalian dan hampir setiap saat pula. Tak peduli musim hujan, musim kemarau, musim duren, atau musim mangga selalu saja ada. Entah kenapa. Beberapa waktu yang lalu saya juga masih lihat galian kabel serat optik di Jalan Sunan Muria di Kudus. Padahal jalan itu cukup sempit dan sangat ramai mengingat jalan tersebut adalah jalur untuk ziarah ke tempat Sunan Muria.

Kok selalu seperti itu hampir sepanjang waktu dan setiap tahun ya? Padahal kalau saya pikir biayanya besar juga loh, coba bayangkan misalnya bulan Januari ada galian kabel Telkom, lalu jalan yang telah digali diperbaiki lagi. Bulan berikutnya ada galian lagi untuk menanam kabel serat optik milik Indosat, lalu jalan diperbaiki lagi. Maretnya ada galian pipa air perusahaan air minum, kemudian didatangkan aspal lagi untuk menutup galian. Aprilnya ada galian lagi untuk menanam pipa gas industri. trus lagi-lagi biaya memperbaiki jalan. Begitu terus sepanjang tahun.
KAMPRET! dalam 4 bulan itu jalan diperbaiki 4 kali. Aspal yang dipakai buat memperbaiki juga aspal abal-abal. Belum ada sebulan jalan sudah berlubang-lubang lagi. Ini jelas-jelas pemborosan! Apa perusahaan-perusahaan tukang gali kubur itu nggak bisa bikin kerjasama? Bikin kek sekali gali langsung tanam tuh kabel telepon, kabel serat optik buat internet, pipa air, sama pipa gas industri sekaligus. Sekalian kalau menggali cari aspal buat nutupin lubang kalian yang bagus sana! Jadi lubang-lubang yang kalian bikin itu nggak bakal rusak lagi.
Kalau aspal abal-abal yang biasa buat nutupin lubang sih, paling beberapa bulan udah jebol Pak. Nunggu pemerintah buat memperbaiki jalan berlubang? Ngimpi kali. Yang ada tuh dana jalan lenyap separonya. Saya nggak tahu entah ke mana lenyapnya. Mungkin suhu di pemerintahan sedang panas ya sehingga uangnya cepat mendidih sekaligus menguap.
Ah, protes memang nikmat. Nikmat sekali bisa bicara nyalahin orang tanpa kita harus susah-susah memikirkan dan melaksanakan solusi. Kalau protes ini saya atas namakan rakyat pasti mereka senang. Kalau ada yang nggak senang berarti mereka nggak mau dibela. Bukankah seharusnya begitu sikap saya sebagai mahasiswa? Hoho, saya memang sedang menikmatinya. Nikmat, nikmat sekali.
